The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on new media, Auwalu Danladi Sankara confirmed this to DAILY POST. Yahaya died on Saturday afternoon at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital after a protracted illness. Before his death, Hon. Former Deputy Senate President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, on Saturday, urged the Federal Government to increase the number of beneficiaries in its palliatives measures amidst the Coronavirus lockdown. The Presidency has opened up on the crowd that attended the burial rites of former Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Mallam Abba Kyari at the Gudu Cemetery, Abuja. Donald Trump has again attacked China over the COVID-19 pandemic ravaging the world. The United States has consoled Nigeria on the death of Abba Kyari. The late Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari was buried on Saturday in Abuja, weeks after testing positive to coronavirus. The Minister of Communications, Isa Pantami, led the prayer at the internment of late Abba Kyari at the Gudu Cemetery in Abuja on Saturday. NAN reports that he cautioned Nigerians to ‘take the battle against the coronavirus pandemic seriously’. Kano State government has confirmed it recorded ten new cases of COVID-19. The State Ministry of Health, on Saturday night, said so far, the State has 37 confirmed cases of the virus. “As at 18th April 2020 10 New #COVID19 Cases Confirmed. “Total Confirmed Cases in @KanostateNg is 37. 1 COVID19 death was recorded. “#StayAtHome to break the chain of #COVID19 transmission,” it said. The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) on Saturday confirmed twelve new cases of COVID-19.
