The Supreme Court has dismissed an application for review of the judgment which sacked the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bayelsa state, David Lyon and his deputy, Senator Biobarakuma Degi-Eremienyo. The Kano State Hisbah Board has arrested a 37-year-old woman, Hauwa Ali, for allegedly marrying two husbands in Kumbotso Local Government Area of the state. The Nigerian Army on Tuesday, presented cheques of undisclosed amount to 22 families of its personnel who lost their lives in battle field in 2019 for their group life assurance benefits. The Deputy Director, Welfare, Department of Army Administration, Brig.-Gen. Isah Abdullahi, presented the cheques to the beneficiaries. Kaduna Assembly Speaker Resigns
The Speaker, Kaduna State House of Assembly, Alhaji Aminu Shagali, has resigned. News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the resignation came amid alleged plans by some members of the assembly to impeach him.
