The Supreme Court has adjourned the hearing of former governor of Imo State, Emeka Ihedioha to March 2, 2020. The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) says it is expecting 15 ships laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods from Feb. 18 to March 6. The NPA made this known in its publication, `Shipping Position’, a copy of which was made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos on Tuesday. According to NPA, the ships are expected to arrive at the Lagos Port Complex. The Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) says it has concluded plans to establish laboratories in the six ge-opolitical zones for testing products and ensuring standardisation in the country. Nnimmo Bassey, an Environmental activist has condemned the slow response of the Nigerian Agip Oil Company (NAOC) to the Feb. 3 oil leakage at its oilfields in Brass Local Government Area of Bayelsa. The pipeline explosion on a line feeding the oil export facility discharged crude into the environment and compelled the firm to shut down the line amidst concerns by oil industry observers on oil output shortfalls.
