An Apomu Magistrates’ Court, Osun on Friday ordered that Pastor Philip Segun, Owolabi Adeeko and his mother, Bola who allegedly killed Favour Oladele, a final year student of Lagos State University, be remanded in a correctional facility. The police charged Segun, Owolabi, and Bola with two counts of murder and conspiracy. Magistrate Faith Olukunle-Idowu, who did not take the plea of the defendants, ordered that they are remanded in an Ilesa Correctional Centre. The Ogun Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) on Friday said that a child died while five others sustained injuries in a lone accident at Ayobo, near Alapako-Ogunmakin, on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. The Federal Government on Thursday recalled the suspended Managing Director of the Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading (NBET) Plc, Mrs Marilyn Amobi, to her duty post. Amobi was suspended by the Minister of Power, Engr. Mamman Sale, in December last year over many complaints against her. The minister also constituted a five-man panel to investigate the myriads of complaints against the NBET managing director. The Transition Committee Chairman of Arochukwu Local Government Area of Abia, Mr Onyekachi Okoro, is dead, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the area has confirmed. Okoro was said to have slumped at a private residence in Umuahia around 1 pm on Thursday and died before he could get medical help. The Minister of Health, Dr Osagie Ehanire, on Thursday, visited Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) National Reference Laboratory (NRL) in Gaduwa, Abuja, as part of his routine visits to departments and agencies under the Federal Ministry of Health.
