The Federal Government on Thursday appointed Alhaji Garba Abubakar as the new Registrar-General of the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC). Mr Moses Adaguusu, the Head of Public Affairs of the commission made this known in a statement in Abuja. Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi, has dispelled rumours making the rounds that the newly launched Western Nigeria Security Network code-named Operation Amotekun is regional police. The Delta Police Command says it has apprehended a wanted suspect, alleged to have kidnapped a medical doctor with Delta University Teaching Hospital (DELSUTH) in November 2019. A 37-year-old man, Shuaib Akeem, on Thursday, appeared before an Ilorin Magistrates’ Court for alleged pipeline vandalism. A group, the All Electricity Consumers Protection Forum on Thursday faulted the plan to regulate estimated electricity bills issued by power distribution companies to their unmetered customers, billed to begin in February.
