Zamfara Government has earmarked N7 billion for the total renovation of its science schools and training of science teachers in 2020. The State Commissioner for Science and Technology, Alhaji Bilyaminu Shinkafi told newsmen on Thursday in Gusau that the fund would be used for total renovation and expansion of science and technical schools across the state. The newly-appointed Postmaster General (PMG) of the Federation/CEO, Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST), Dr Ismail Adewusi, has promised to plug all revenue leakages in the organization for effective service delivery. Dr Osagie Ehanire, Minister of Health, on Tuesday, commended the National Hospital for the successful separation of Siamese twins conjoined at chest and abdomen. News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the conjoined twins were referred from Federal Medical Centre, Keffi, Nasarawa to the hospital on Aug. 13, 2018. A man identified as Nelson has been arraigned before the Lagos State High Court sitting in Ikeja for stabbing his father, Sunday Oamen, to death with a broken bottle. Patience Oamen, a hairdresser, on Tuesday told the court how his brother stabbed their father. The suspect is facing one count of murder contrary to Section 221 of the Criminal Law of Lagos, 2011, before Justice Hakeem Oshodi. The Prosecutor, M. T. An Iyaganku Chief Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan on Wednesday, ordered that a 32-year- old Odunayo Aliu, who allegedly took and sent nude images of his girlfriend, be remanded in a correctional centre, pending legal advice. The police charged Aliu, who resides in Odeku, Ibadan, with making pornographic images and sending it to people. Chief Magistrate O.A.
