A French court on  Monday sentenced five female militants to between five and 30 years in prison for planning a failed car bomb plot outside Notre Dame Cathedral  in 2016. The local media reported on Tuesday. The two main defendants, Ines Madani and Ornella Gilligmann were sentenced to 30 years and 25 years respectively. The sentence according to state-run France Info radio, followed their attempt to set off a car loaded with gas cylinders and cans of diesel outside the cathedral. Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta has approved the appointment of 11 Permanent Secretaries (PS) in the state. The approval was contained in a statement by the state Head of Service (HoS), Mr Reginald Bayoko on Tuesday in Asaba. Bayoko stated that those appointed are- Dr Francis Onojeta, Mr Paul Osahor, Mr Joseph Uwalogho, Mrs Ngozi Nwanze, Mr Cletus Obieaba, Mrs Charity Ehimen-Babigha and Mrs Oghenekeve Agas among others. Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Tuesday, disclosed that the State is ready to pay more than the N30,000 benchmark for the National Minimum Wage. Lagos State governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has re-ordered the 2019 Budget of the state with a letter to the State Assembly seeking a loan of N250 Billion.
