The Corps Marshal, Federal Road Safety Corps, (FRSC), Dr Boboye Oyeyemi, has charged operatives of the Corps not to compromise in carrying out the Presidential directives on partial easing of lockdown. The Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, SAN, confirmed the receipt of 311,797,866.11 million dollars of the Abacha assets repatriated from the U.S. and the Bailiwick of Jersey. The Police Command in Zamfara says it has impounded 101 vehicles and their drivers, prosecuted for violating the restriction of movement order by the state government. The Commissioner of Police, Mr Usman Nagogo, announced this to newsmen in Gusau on Monday. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC) on Monday arraigned a former Minister of special duties and Inter-governmental Affairs, Kabiru Turaki over alleged fraud in a Federal High Court, Abuja. Turaki was arraigned before Justice Inyang Ekwo alongside his former Special Assistant, Sampson Okpetu, and two firms – Samtee Essentials Limited and Pasco Investment Limited – on a 16-count charge. Access Bank Plc on Monday denied news making rounds that it would sack 75 per cent of its workforce and as well close over 300 branches. The bank denied this in a statement signed by Mr Sunday Ekwochi, its Company Secretary, posted on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) website.
