The Federal High Court, Abuja, on Monday, struck out charges bordering on non-declaration of assets instituted against Sen. Ike Ekweremadu, former Deputy Senate President, by the defunct Special Presidential Investigation Panel for the Recovery of Public Property (SPIP). Mr Umoru Ambrose, Kwara State Commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), on Monday called for the establishment of drug clubs in tertiary institutions. Ambrose made the call during a visit to the Vice-Chancellor, University of Ilorin, Prof. Sulyman Abdulkareem. According to him, establishing clubs would go a long way in discouraging the use of hard drugs on campuses and improve the mental health of students on campuses. Agbado Oke-Odo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Lagos State, says the provision of more link roads, education, and community health facilities would be the council’s top priorities in 2020. The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), on Monday, donated relief materials for distribution to 20, 000 Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Borno. President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the constitution of a National Humanitarian Coordination Committee (NHCC), to oversee humanitarian activities in the country. Mr Femi Adesina, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, confirmed this development in a statement in Abuja on Monday.
